Last week Carly learned all about Italy at school. They each made a shirt and hat and made fake pizzas, meatballs and spaghetti. At the end of the week they all had pizza and ices for lunch. The teachers drew mustaches on them and gave them aprons. Peyton's Mommy was kind enough to e-mail us the pictures. It is important for Carly to learn about Italy because every time she does something bad Daddy reminds us that she is "half ginny"!!

Memorial Day Weekend 2007

I had a lot of fun this weekend. Boy was it hot! I went to Grandma's house again on Saturday and she filled a metal tub up for me so I could have my very own pool. They also got me a swing and I saw Thomas the cat and my Uncle Louis.

We went to breakfast with Michael, Samantha and Aunt Amy and then we went to the park and I went on the swings with Sam. Then we stopped by Aunt Kristin and Uncle Mike's and Daddy pulled me around in a wagon and I played in Michael's playhouse.

Today Daddy bought me a tent that also has a tee pee and two tunnels that I can crawl through. I played all day on the grass with Mommy & Daddy and I saw my very first airplane! I love to lay on the grass with Mommy and look up at the clouds and trees. I barely had the energy to eat dinner so Daddy gave me a bath and it's off to bed for me!

I was so busy this weekend I am pooped! I went to Grandma's house again all day on Saturday and saw my Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Louis. I always have so much fun playing with them and looking under the bed for the cat. When Mommy leaves I wave goodbye to her from the front door.

Today I was out from sun up to sundown. I went shopping, to the park, to Aunt Kristin's on the swing, then to lunch, and when when I got home Daddy was home and we all did work outside and I watered the flowers with Mommy. When I'm in my playpen I like to smush my face into the mesh and make funny faces at Mommy and Daddy. Today I decided to be a pig! After my tubby tubby I passed out!

Mother's Day Weekend May 2007

We had so much fun this weekend with Miss Carly. Sunday morning she decided to start climbing up the gate. Then she got bored with that and wanted to remove all of the cushions from every chair and sit on every seat. Then we went to a barbecue and she wanted to rake the entire back lawn, naturally after playing on the swing and climbing into the play house. She hit the wall when we got home and slept through the night! Crazy child needs to slow down! What a wonderful Mother's Day we had with our baby girl all day! There is no better gift.

This morning Miss Carly woke up with quite the mop of hair. We think it was the humidity. She didn't seem to mind that she looked crazy. She was yelling and jumping in her crib as soon as I walked in to get her. The color is so beautiful. It's light brown with tints of red. It is so pretty in the sun and it has such a nice soft wave to it. She is becoming such a little girl and we love every second of it!

Well today I went to the doctor to follow-up on the tubes in my ears. I am 100% better. No infections and my hearing has completely improved. I am sleeping so much better now and so are Mommy & Daddy! Today we played on the front lawn. It was so nice to sit and play in the green grass. When the ice cream man passed the house, I stood up and was conducting the music coming from the truck. Maybe one day I'll do something with music!

Well Miss Carly is 14 months old today. She has been in Daycare for one year already. It seems like just yesterday we were dropping her off. She has grown so much and loves to go to school every morning and see all of her friends. When she got to school today she ran away from me like there was no tomorrow! She is walking so much now, she's definitely ready to run! I think the only tears were coming from Mommy!

Every Sunday morning we fold all of the laundry. Carly enjoys running around with her socks in her mouth and using Daddy's underwear as pom poms. She also refuses to get out of the laundry basket until I push her around in it. We also bought her a bucket and shovels to go to the beach. She decided it was more fun screaming into the bucket because she enjoyed hearing her voice echo. Hopefully this weekend we will be ready for her first trip to the beach!
