Greenlawn Pickle Festival Sept 30, 2007

Today was such a beautiful day, Mommy and Daddy decided to take me to the Greenlawn Pickle Festival at the John Gardner Farm. We had so much fun, I didn't know where to begin. Everyone kept stopping us because Daddy was pulling me around in my Radio Flyer wagon. A few people wanted a ride, but I said no, no, no. I had teddy strapped in the seat in front of me and off we went! There was an old outhouse and Daddy took a picture of Mommy in it. There was a corn maze to run around in, hay rides, a chicken coop, pumpkin picking, pickles, baked food, jam, jelly, an antique sale and a big barn where they were serving food. Lately I don't want my picture taken, so Mommy took a lot of pictures of the grounds. I love that we live in a small town where we have these kinds of things to go to as a family. I passed out in the car after we left. I hope we go again next year because I had so much fun with Mommy & Daddy.

Love to all,

Carly Victoria xoxo

....."I drink alone...yaaaah with nobody else"....

September 22-23, 2007

While Mommy was away this weekend I stayed at Grandma's. I had my very first cheeseburger and I ate the whoooole thing. I went for a few walks with Grandpa around the block and I slept from 8 to 6 and didn't wake up once.

I couldn't wait to see Mommy, I really missed her and I could tell she missed me because she picked me up and squeezed me and kissed me all over my face for about 10 minutes straight! She also bought me sweatpants from Montauk that say "the end" on the butt and a silver coinpurse that says "Superstar". My Uncle Steve filled it with money for me and I carried it around all afternoon.

Lastnight I ate dinner outside with Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Steve and Uncle Kevin. They couldn't beleive how much food I could consume. They were all watching me so I was trying to make them laugh by screaming and feeding Billy my cheese. I like when they spread out and leave me by myself so I can eat in peace. I don't like when anyone is standing too close to my tray or highchair. If they try to come close to me I shake my finger and say "no no no no no". When I'm done eating, I use my napkin and make sure I wipe off not only my mouth and hands but my tongue as well. Gotta be thorough.

I'm becoming quite the "princess" and soon I will try to overrule Mommy and become the "Queen". Although Daddy and my uncles call Mommy "the Boss" and I'm not sure if I want that job.

Love to all,

Carly Victoria xoxo

...."just the facts ma'am"......

September 20, 2007

Carly had her 18 months appointment yesterday. 33 3/4 inches tall, 25 lbs 10 ounces and 18 1/2 inches for her head. She is 75th percentile for head and weight and over 95th for height! She is getting sooo big sooo quick and cuter by the second!! But to quote the doctor "she's perfect". We couldn't agree more.

Love to all,

Mommy

..."worth it's weight in gold".....

September 19, 2007

Yesterday I picked Carly up from school and went to see Grandma & Grandpa. While we were at their house Carly was very cranky and was crying a little bit. My mother said to me that she thought Carly just wanted some attention from Mommy. I figured her teeth hurt.

When we got home Carly gave me the biggest hug ever. She would not let go. She had her head on my shoulder for about five minutes and did not want me to put her down. As she pulled back, she put both of her hands on my cheeks and said "mine". I almost died.

I felt guilty that I didn't recognize it at my mother's but I guess Grandma was right.

It reminded of the Dolly Parton song "coat of many colors":

......one is only poor only if they choose to be. Although we had no money, I was rich as I could be".....

These situations are what remind me that no matter what it's the little things that matter.

.... "duck....duck....goose!!".......

September 16th 2007

Today I went out to lunch with Mommy and Aunt Amy. Then we met Aunt Kelly and Brynn at the park. Boy did I have fun! There was so much to do, I didn't know where to being. I love, love, love the slide, but there was a little girl there who didn't want to share it with me. Every time I tried to go behind her she would start to scream and hit herself in the head. I wasn't sure when it would be my turn so I just walked away and figured she would let me know. Then I went into the train and rang the bell. I was crawling in and out of the tubes and making faces at Mommy through the holes. We decided to walk around the water and look at the ducks, geese and turtles. I couldn't believe how friendly the geese were, they let me walk right up to them. I think they thought I had food in my pockets. When I saw the ducks I started to scream sucks! sucks! I hope I didn't hurt their feelings. They kept diving down to the bottom of the water and sticking their butts in the air. After we left I fell right to sleep for about two hours.

I'm starting to say so many new words. Everyday I come up with something new. It may not be correct, but hey I'm trying! Hum is home, tock is clock, tat is truck, sucks is ducks, bum is boom and shashis is Louis. I can clearly say Mimi and Pop. I can't wait to see them both so I can show them how!

Love to all,

...."feelin' groovy"....

Sept 11, 2007

Carly is starting to feel a little better. Her doctor thinks she has asthma and seasonal allergies. She is going for some blood work on Saturday morning to see if she really is allergic to anything. Her mood is better and she is starting to eat some more. Hopefully this will all go away once the cold weather hits. Our poor baby girl. She was out of control today so I had to take some pictures of her. Right after this, she passed out!!

Love to all,

Mommy & Daddy xo

....."we will never forget"....

Sept 11 2007

Today I couldn't wait to pick Carly up from school and kiss her chubby cheeks and squeeze her. With Matt and so many of our friends being fireman, I can't even imagine what the people who lost someone today must be feeling. Kiss & hug the ones you love, don't sweat the small stuff and never forget.

In the words of John Lennon...

'you may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one".

...."back in the saddle again"....

September 2007

Well...............I'm sick again! I can't believe it but I have the worst cough in history and I feel just horrible. I have been up for days, I can't sleep, I can't get comfortable, I have a horrible cough and I am just plain sick. I have no appetite and Daddy and Mommy just don't know what to do. I went to the doctor on Friday and she thinks I have allergies. I hope I start to feel better soon because this stinks!!

Love to all,

Miss Carly xoxo

Labor Day Weekend Aug-Sept 2007

Wow- did I have fun this weekend. On Thursday night Mommy took me to the parade and to the Fireman's Fair. I was waving to all of the big fire trucks and the fireman who were marching. When I pumped my arm and yelled out "woo-woo" they would blow the sirens! I also loved to dance to all the music and the bagpipes. Grandma and Grandpa came with us also and I was eatting pizza for dinner with Grandma,Michael, Samamtha and Brynn. Once we got into the fair I was so tired, all I wanted to do was rest my head on Daddy's shoulder.

On Sunday afternoon we loaded up two cars full of my aunts, uncles and friends and we drove down to Freeport to the Nautical mile for lunch. We had so much fun listening to the live music, eatting on the docks and looking at all of the boats. I also got to ride around in my new Radio Flyer wagon with Michael and Sam. Everyone was stopping us and wanted a ride! I wanted to stop and listen to the Bob Marley band at Otto's, but we found out that they weren't "Radio Flyer friendly". By the time we got home, I fell asleep in the car and slept through the night.

On Labor Day Mommy and Daddy decided to take me on Daddy's boat. We went down to Northport and Mommy took me to the park and Daddy met us on the dock and picked us up in the boat. I screamed for about 10 minutes straight because I did not want to wear my life jacket. needlesstosay- we drove around for 10 minutes and Daddy dropped us back off. Maybe next time we can go out for longer! I was so tired I fell asleep again and then went to Grandma's to visit with Aunt Chrissy.

Tomorrow I start full time in my new classroom and I can't wait! I love my new teacher Miss Joanne and I can't wait to start learning new things!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Love to all, Miss Carly xoxo
