Mommy always tells me that she is so lucky to work down by the water. We go to the park near her job all of the time and it is just beautiful. She always tells me she gets to see some of the best sunsets there. Today she brought her camera to work and took some pictures. I love when she lets me see them on the screen on the camera. I always say "oooooh Mommy". Today was an exceptionally gorgeous sunset. How blessed to be able to walk out from a hard days work and see that.

...:dancin' in the dark"....

Mommy picked me up from school today and we went to take pictures of the sky. It was so beautiful out tonight we just wanted to get a few good shots. We went to the neighborhood where Mommy grew up to a hill they used to call "Deadman's Hill". Mommy told me the stories of how they use to walk there in the winter and sleigh ride down the hill all day when she was little. After we took a few pictures it started to get really dark. When we were walking back to the car we started to dance. It made me feel better and I wasn't scared anymore. I'm glad we went together, the sky was so beautiful and I loved to see all the pretty colors and the clouds.

Cheerio!!

On Sunday mornings I love to eat Cheerios and watch cartoons. This Sunday Mommy gave me my Peter Rabbit bowl that Grandma Mimi bought for me. It was hard for me to use the spoon so I decided it would be easier to just drink my cereal. Mommy started to laugh and take more pictures. I really enjoyed it but I needed a bath afterwards. Oh well!

..."get your motor runnin'.. head out on the highway".........

Mommy and Daddy are a little concerned about how much I love to ride Michael's motorcycle. I love that I now understand how to use it, and when you hit the pedal...... it's really flies!! Today I was flying around the yard having the time of my life. Hopefully my love of motorcyles ends here. Although I know Daddy and Mommy love them too!!

The Biggest pile of leaves in the whole world!

This morning we all went over to Aunt Kristin and Uncle Mikes and played in the huuuuge pile of leaves in the backyard. We had so much fun. We were all laughing, throwing leaves, burying each other in the pile and swinging on the tire swing. I was riding in the car, went on the swings and played in Michael's little house with Travis. Mommy, Aunt Kristin, Aunt Debbie and Aunt Kelly were all busy filming us and taking pictures. I also got to see my Aunt Thea and Uncle Mike too. After that I went with Mommy to get lunch and then fell asleep in the car and took a nice long nap. Here are some of the pictures Mommy took.

....:the "bump" heard 'round the world".....

We went over to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving. It was so warm out and I decided I wanted to bring my broom and sweep around the house. We weren't there 10 minutes and Daddy went outside to call Mimi and Pops. I wanted to be with him, so Mommy and I started to walk towards the door with my broom when all of a sudden I slipped, banged my head on the door jam and started whaling!! Mommy picked me up and I had a huuuge purple lump on my head. Mommy called Daddy to come inside and we put ice on it. I was so brave, holding the bag of ice on my head all by myself. I think Daddy was a little scared because I saw his hands shaking. They both took turns holding me and as the day went on, the lump went down and I was ok. I now have my first battle scar- with I'm sure.... many more to follow!

Happy Thanksgiving

This morning we all woke up to a beautiful sunny day. We ate breakfast together and watched a little tv. Later we are going to be with our family and friends to celebrate and give thanks. We wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. We look forward to spending time together as a family and just enjoying each others company. We give thanks for having each other to love, our good health and being lucky enough to have food on our tables. We appreciate the gift God has given us- our baby girl Carly. She is the light of our lives and we love every minute of joy she has brought to us.

Fall in New York

Thanksgiving week November 2007

If you are from the East coast most likely you can't help but love this time of the year. The changing of the leaves is incredible. Today Mommy got out of work early and took some pictures of trees in our area. We always stop while we are driving and Mommy tries to teach me about the different colors and trees. We wanted to show you what we enjoy every morning on our way to school. There is so much beauty around us and I'm glad we slowdown to take it all in.

...."the story of the pink hat".......

When Mommy was a baby her Grandma used to knit her clothes. All of the clothes were saved and were given to Mommy when I was born. My favorite hat is the pink hat. I think it was one of the first things made. I love to wear it and Mommy always says how beautiful I look. I hope someday I can give it to my daughter.

...."water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink"....

Well this Sunday afternoon hanging out with Mommy I had a full blown case of this giggles followed by the "new thing" I do which includes chugging water and spitting it everywhere!! It was making me laugh so hard at one point, I rolled right off the couch and then started snorting. Mommy decided it was better to pick her battles and just take pictures. I had so much fun with her just playing, dancing, learning my words and reading books. I love to relax with her on Sundays, which according to the Big Man is the day of rest.

The artist formerly known as "clean"

Daddy bought me a whole bunch of magic markers. I love to take off my clothes and color my entire body. The markers also work on the tv, couch, carpet and walls. But I don't have to worry about anything because Mommy follows me around with baby wipes and cleans up after me. All of the colors also match really well with Mommy's jeans. Last week I wanted green feet. Tonight I decided to color my tongue and teeth pink. I didn't really like the taste, but boy were my lips red. Mommy is hoping that someday I will decide to color in one of the 5 books Daddy bought me. I thought I heard her mention something about Daddy's office so we'll see. Until then, happy painting!!

Sleeping Beauty

Carly likes to fall asleep on the floor next to Daddy and have him rub and scratch her back. Last night she passed out on the floor next to Matt in the basement. She looked just like an angel so I had to take a few pictures of her. As my mother always said you were all good when you were sleeping. From what Matt's mother had told me- Matt used to love having his back rubbed and scratched also. Hmmmmm...........
