...."feelin' hot..hot..hot"...

August 24-28th

Our poor little baby girl has been very,very sick these past few days. With temperatures reaching 104.9, vomiting, no sleep, no appetite, crying, drooling, teething, runny nose and just plain mieserable. She stayed home with Grandma and Daddy yesterday and is back at Grandma's today. Her temperature has finally gone down and she hasn't gotten sick in almost 24 hours. She is on the mend!! Poor baby girl. Through it all she has been a trooper. We are officially taking donations to buy Daddy a weeks vacation at the nearest Weston with one room, no phone and a Cal King bed.

Today after school Carly and I were playing in the basement. We laughed for about 45 minutes straight. I enjoy my alone time with her so much. It made me think of the Dave Matthews song "The Best of What's Around".

....."see you and me have a better time than most can dream. Have it better than the best, so we can pull on through whatever tears at us and if nothing can be done, we'll make the best of what's around. Turns out not where but who you're with, that really matters"......

Just to bring everyone up to speed- my 3 month check up was a success. The tubes are working great and they are both still in my ears. The doctor said both of my ears are clear as a bell. I am so excited that I can hear better now. It has helped me so much learning words and listening to music and my favorite tv shows. But beware to all......... because what I hear- I repeat. This morning I yelled to Daddy "Awww come on Dada".... Mommy is still laughing.

Well this has been another exciting week. My teacher at school is sick, so she has been out all week. They moved me up to the next classroom yesterday since the room I am in now is full- and I rolled right with the punches. Miss Joanne told Mommy how good I was and how I just fit right it with the older kids playing, laughing and dancing. They decided they are going to start my transition to this new room next week!! I am so excited and definitely ready to leave the little ones behind.

Everyday after school I eat my snack on the big chair and watch Shrek with Mommy. She gives me a nice full sippy cup of ice cold water and a cup of goldfish which are now my favorite snack. We enjoy watching the movie together and I think Mommy has the first 45 minutes memorized since that is as long as I will last before jumping off the chair and running around the house. Mommy takes off my shoes and sock so that I'm not hot and then Daddy takes me outside on the swing and we water the plants together.

Ahhhh..... the good life. It's good to be the Queen!

Today I am 17 months old!! Mommy came into my room this morning and was singing and dancing like it was my "birthday". Naturally I started to dance too and growl! I love to do that now. It was raining so hard this morning that I had to wear my hooded sweatshirt, but the rain didn't slow me down one bit. I ran right outside and once we got to school I ran right up to the door and said hi and waved to everyone!

I can say dog now (except it sound like daahg), kittie, ball, and I started to call Grandpa PopPop.

I got another box of clothes from Mimi and Pop and I love everything they got me. I especially like the shoes that squeek! I can't wait to run down the hall wearing those.

I am going to the doctor later with Daddy for a check-up for the tubes they put in my ears!! I feel so much better since my surgery and have not been sick since.

I am always happy, laughing and smiling. I love to meet people, wave to everyone and say hello and bye bye. I love to dance and play with all of my friends at school.

I hope everyone is enjoying life as much as I am!!
