Happy 2nd Birthday Sam!!

Aunt Kristin and Uncle Mike had Sam's 2nd birthday party on Sunday. It was an absolute blast! There were about 20 kids there and we played until it was dark. Sam looked so pretty and her cake was awesome! It was a huuuge Shrek cake with all of the characters on it. I dug right in to the cupcakes Aunt Amy made and then we all took a shot at the pinata. Daddy danced in the living room for over an hour with me, Sam and Alicia. We are all a few months apart, me being the oldest. Daddy looked pretty tired but he stuck it out anyway. Aunt Kelly was filming it and Aunt Kristin was taking pictures. Mommy was on the couch hysterical laughing. I was so tired when I got home, I didn't even take a bath. Happy Birthday Sam!!! We all love you!!

Three sisters

Mommy's friend Sue got engaged recently. Her sisters threw her a beautiful, elegant, backyard Bridal shower. Everyone had so much fun. Her sisters are both very funny and nice. As different as they all are, they are that much alike. Mommy said her one sister read a poem and everyone loved it. They all relaxed until it was dark and then opened all of the presents. Her sisters were helping her the whole time. Mommy said it was nice to watch them together and be witness to their bond. We wish Aunt Sue nothing but happiness and hope she finds as much love in her marriage as she has with her sisters.

Love to all,

Family Tradition

Since Daddy was little, they always had taco night at the Nichols house. Mommy and Daddy carried on the tradition when they met and we still have taco night to this day. I love Mexican food so I was really excited the other night when they broke out all the fixin's. Daddy told Mommy to take some pictures so Mimi and Pop could see that 30 plus years later............... taco night rolls on!!

Sunday mornings

Mommy and I left the house early this morning to go to the beach. We went to breakfast together first and then headed for the water. It was so nice and quiet there. Nobody was really there yet so we put down our towel and just sat there together. I was picking up shells, we went into the water and had a snack. Before you knew it, the whole beach filled up. Mommy always tells me, it's the moments before it gets crazy that are her favorites with me. When we got home, we took a nap together and then had some dinner. Mommy saves all of the shells we pick up together, hopefully one day we can make something from them so we can remember our times alone.

Love to all,

My Girl Mac

Beach Bums

We salute you!!!!

Madeleine was rockin' the air guitar at the beach today. I think she got it from watching her Daddy jam with his band. She has even gone to some of his gigs with her Mommy!! She is definitely a cool chick! For those about to rock............

The usual suspects

We all went to the beach again today to cause havoc on the poor people trying to enjoy their Sunday. It was sunny at first, but then it got cloudy and windy. None of us slowed down or stopped eating. We all went back to our house and had pizza and played in the basement. Mommy, Aunt Stacey and Aunt Kristin looked like they all needed naps since NONE OF US took naps. We were having too much fun watching Shrek in the car and couldn't wait to get back to the house to play some more. Hopefully next weekend we will be able to all hang out again. Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Louis were there too but I have a feeling next week..... they're going to the ocean!!

Cancer SUCKS!

Mommy went to take pictures for her friends Catherine & John. John has cancer. Every year they have a huge Lobster Party and invite all of their family and friends. John looked really good and was in very good spirits. He cooked and handed out all of the lobsters and made sure he asked Mommy at least 4 times if she wanted or needed anything. They all had so much fun and it was nice to be surrounded by so much love. You would never know he was sick. Catherine & John are the kindest people and never bother anyone with problems. They are truly selfless. We can only wish them the best and help them get through it. Tell those you love that you love them. Life is too short not to.

Love to all,
